We are so proud of this release and the releases to come with the Duality Series. This document is designed to give you a full working knowledge of Loop 28. 

Home

EFFECTS: The first six sliders control the wet/dry or intercity of the effect. Dialing them to zero will bypass the effect. 

BALANCE: Dials in the perfect blend of Layer A and Layer B

VOLUME: Global plugin volume.

LAYER SELECTOR: Here you can see the layer you have selected by name and waveform. Clicking in the space will mute and unmute the selected sample.  the pagination arrows allow you to select the next or previous sample making choosing a new sound really easy. You can also click the browser magnifying glass to navigate to the Browser window. 

NAV MENU:  This menu lets you navigate through the different windows to  adjust the different settings for Sound, FX, and Browser

Sound Page

AB LAYER SELECTOR:  Selecting A or B will display the current setting for that specific layer. You can see the waveform and select the next or previous sample using the pagination arrows. 

LINK: Clicking the link button under the AB selector will link the settings for layers A and B together. Any changes made to one later will affect the other layer too. 

PAN: Adjust the panning of an individual sample (Link On will affect both samples)

VOLUME: Adjust the volume of an individual sample (Link On will affect both samples)

TRANSPOSE: Adjust the tuning of an individual sample in semi-tones (Link On will affect both samples)

TUNE: Adjust the fine-tuning of an individual sample in cents. (Link On will affect both samples)

SPEED: Adjust the playback speed of an individual sample. (Link On will affect both samples)

ADSR: Adjust the attack, sustain, decay, and release of individual samples. Curve will adjust the initial attack curve of the attack. (Link On will affect both samples)

LFOs: Each sample has two LFO settings that you can assign to the intensity of pan, volume, fine-tune, and speed. You can adjust the waveform, rate (ms or sync), and the fade-in and re-triggering of the LFO. (Link On will affect both samples)

RESET: Resets all sound settings to their default position. (Link On will affect both samples) 

FX

EFFECTS: Loop 28 has seven effects per sample plus one EQ as a global effect. Each effect has a bypass button. There is also a global effect bypass button in the FX menu tab. This allows you to turn all effects off to monitor how the raw audio is behaving.

EFFECT MENU:  The effect menu allows you to save, load, and reset an FX chain or a single FX module. 

SAVE FX CHAIN: Love the effect you have created? You can save the entire FX chain to reuse later.

LOAD FX CHAIN: Load an FX chain that you have saved.

SAVE SINGLE FX MODULE: You can save a single FX module too. Good practice it to it the FX module in the name e.g REVERB – my favorite

LOAD SINGLE FX MODULE: You can load a single FX module that you have previously saved.

RESET GLOBAL FX CHAIN: Sets all FX modules to their default position. It will also bypass all FX.

RESET SINGLE FX MODULE: Sets individual FX module to its default position.

Browser

BROWSER TABS: You can also select the sample you want for each layer by clicking on the Bowser tabs. Having layer A selected at the top will assign the tab you have clicked on that layer. A letter “A” or “B” will indicate which layer the tab is assigned too.

FAVOURITE: Clicking on the star icon in the browser tab will add that sample to your favorite list. 

PAGINATION: You can also navigate through the different browser pages by clicking the left and right arrows or by clicking the pagination dots at the bottom of the window.

Snapshots

LOAD SNAPSHOTS: Loop28 comes with a collection of factory presets called snapshots. To access them click the camera icon at the top right of the Kontakt info bar. Click the drop-down arrow to open the snapshot menu. Snapshots are sorted into folders for easy access.

SAVE SNAPSHOTS: You can also save your own snapshots. Click the disc icon  and enter your snapshot name.
